WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
The Denver Nuggets Basketball Academy, led by Youth Basketball Director Calvin Myers, is dedicated to creating and supporting high-quality youth basketball programming throughout the Denver metro area and Colorado. Our mission is to spark a lifelong passion for the game by developing players’ skillsets, enhancing coaching and officiating, and fostering positive parent interactions.
Our expert staff includes current and former college players, as well as local coaches who are all USA Basketball licensed and background-checked. We offer a range of programs, including camps, clinics, coaching development, girls-specific programming, and the Jr. Nuggets, all designed to inspire young athletes and create lifelong Nuggets fans!
Calvin coached his first basketball camp at the age of fourteen and fell in love with teaching the game to young people. His favorite sports are football and basketball, and his favorite Denver Nuggets players growing up were Antonio McDyess, Marcus Camby, and Nene. Calvin has been with Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (Denver Nuggets) since 2011.
The Denver Nuggets youth basketball coaches are former high school and college basketball players that are committed to growing the game they love! All have coached at the recreational, AAU, middle school, high school, collegiate level. All are USA Basketball licensed, background checked, and certified by the Positive Coaching Alliance.
